Is Vaping Better Than Traditional Smoking?

It is a common misconception that vaping creates smelly smoke.  It does NOT.  There is no lingering smell regardless of the flavor you choose to vape, including "tobacco" flavors, menthol, fruit, mint, etc.  There is also no worries about "secondhand" smoke, as there isn't any smoke to begin with, this is pure liquid vapor.  Unfortunately, many recent articles about the e-cig industry include misinformed comments by government authorities, anti-smoking advocates, and others that the electronic cigarette is merely a technicality in "getting around" the various smoking bans.  The truth is that the tobacco companies would like nothing better than to quash the e-cig -- it is NOT a tobacco product and the tobacco industry gets NOTHING but lost customers.  Local, state, and federal government agencies also desire to either quash or heavily regulate the e-cig because the electronic cigarette is not subject to tobacco taxes, upon which they greatly depend upon for substantial revenue.  Moving from smoking deadly tobacco to smokelessness is bad for Big Government.  Become a vaper and tell the tobacco companies and big government where they should go!

Face it, smoking is nasty.  It stinks and makes you stink whether you think so or not.  Whatever enjoyment you receive from it, and many do indeed enjoy the habit and those who have never smoked will never understand quite why, either deep down or upfront you are sick of smoking.  The coughing, the money, the health reasons... wouldn't you like you see your grandchildren graduate high school?  Maybe that your favorite bar, restaurant, or entire city is or has gone smoke-free, banishing you to the often cold and wet outdoors has only pissed you off, and not given you much incentive to try harder to quit.  Breaking the habit through conventional means haven't worked either, be it nic gum, hypnosis, cold turkey, etc.  YOU know that it's because it is not merely the addiction to nicotine that you are missing--the habit is also clearly linked to the act of smoking--the inhaling, the manipulation of the cigarette, blowing smoke, the taste, the social experiance etc.  You don't get that from gum.  But you do get much of that from Vaping.

Vaping:

- emits water vapor generated when a glycerin-based solution is heated by the "atomizer."
- does not involve the several thousand toxic and often cancer-causing chemicals and elements.
- does not cause "second-hand" tobacco smoke.
- is VASTLY cheaper on your wallet than smoking tobacco.
- does not stink up your clothes or hair or car, etc.
- does not smoke up a room and annoy people, or yourself.
- is NOT illegal in the U.S., though many may not  yet understand the concept.
- may save you from an almost certain untimely death.

Try an experiment: If you smoke, take a short drag from a tobacco cigarette and blow gently through white tissue paper; no matter what tobacco cigarette brand or type you smoke, this action will reveal an ugly brown/yellow stain on the paper.  Repeated blowing will make the stain darker.  This stuff is going to your lungs.  But you knew all this already.

Next, try this same experiment with any e-cig--take a deep pull from it and then blow gently into a white tissue paper.  You may be surprised to see that no stain will be evident on the paper.  Do it again in the same spot; do it ten times or twenty consecutive times.  You will see no stain....  That's because what is emitted is not smoke; it is water vapor.

Of course, vaping electronic cigarettes is a very new activity and both short and long term effects on humans have not been scientifically documented.  Therefore, vape at your own risk! Do not start vaping unless you are a current or recently former user of tobacco products!   If you are under 18 you may likewise neither vape nor smoke.  If you are pregnant or nursing, you must neither vape nor smoke!  Nicotine is addictive.  While e-cigs are not tobacco products and the act of vaping is not "burning" any substance, the "smoke juice" often contains varying amounts of nicotine to satisfy nicotine craving.

The nicotine in liquid "smoke juice"is easily absorbed through the skin and thus great care should be taken to avoid touching the solution.  Smoke juice should always be secured away from children!  Imbibing the raw juice should be avoided and small amounts ingested often cause heartburn and other stomach ailments.  Do not drink it!  Propylene glycol, a common base of smoke juice, often causes throat irritation to heavy vapers in the first few weeks of use--be sure to drink water or other liquid while vaping to rinse the throat during long vaping sessions.  We strongly consider exclusively using VG (vegetable glycerin)-based smoke juice if you have continued discomfort with the industry standard PG solution.  More and more e-cig retailers are using the VG-based solution lately and most are actually made in the U.S. and not China.  We are presently investigating several possible quality wholesale vendors offering VG smoke juice, so keep checking the Shop Online page for deals and links to suppliers.
